How to calculate a CVP.
 
Step 1: Obtain a long axis view of the hepatic vein. The typical view is a transgastric or gastroesophageal view of the hepatic vein inflow in 2D mode.  The hepatic vein diameter should be in end-expiration.  Note if the hepatic vein diameter changes with respiration.
