Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this accredited continuing education activity, the participant should be better able to:
1. Accurately identify and describe normal echocardiographic findings as well as a spectrum of abnormal pathologies encountered in clinical practice.
2. Demonstrate the ability to differentiate between normal variances in echocardiographic findings and common abnormal findings indicative of various cardiac conditions.
3. Formulate comprehensive and accurate differential diagnoses based on echocardiographic exam findings.
4. Provide accurate measurement of hemodynamic findings encountered during an echocardiographic exam, utilize alternative methods to obtain measurements, and develop the ability to identify and troubleshoot inconsistent findings.
5. Effectively correlate echocardiographic findings with clinical presentations, enabling learners to make informed clinical decisions independently and collaboratively in the patient care setting.
