History of e-Echocardiography.com

e-Echo was founded over 15 years ago by Drs. Kenneth Gross, Terry Bejot, and Stan Shernan to merge clinical medicine with technology, supporting their anesthesia colleagues. Initially one of the pioneering online educational platforms, e-Echo has since grown into the world’s largest collection of echocardiography resources, helping individuals, hospitals, training programs, and industry professionals expand their knowledge and skills.

Dr. Shernan is a professor at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Gross trained at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and served as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School before transitioning to private practice, and Dr. Bejot completed fellowships in both Obstetrics and Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine prior to private practice. Together, they bring 100 years of cardiac anesthesia experience to the platform.

In 2023, e-Echo transitioned to Enlighten Medical Media, which now oversees daily operations and continues to enhance the user experience. Although Drs. Gross and Bejot are approaching retirement from clinical practice, they remain actively involved as content consultants for e-echocardiography.com.
