Description: The ascending aorta is aneurysmal about 5 cm distal to the aortic valve. The dissection is difficult to visualize because no flap is present in this view but a small diagonal line from left lower to right upper aspect of the aorta is visable which is the flap on another view. The line looks similar to an artifact. The aortic dilation just distal to the line is a key finding that dissection may be occurring.
